Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all students, parents, and guardians enrolled with MedParent Private Limited. By enrolling a student and/or making payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

MedParent reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be made available on our website.

2. Fees & Payments

  • All tuition fees are paid monthly, not weekly and not on a pay-as-you-go basis.

  • Full payment must be made by the start of the month for the month in which lessons will take place.

  • Access to lessons may be suspended if payment is not received on time.

  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including absence, lateness, illness, holidays, or withdrawal from tuition.

  • Fees are fixed regardless of the number of sessions attended in a given month.

3. Refund Policy

  • All payments are strictly non-refundable.

  • Missed lessons, late cancellations, illness, holidays, exams, or personal circumstances do not entitle parents or students to refunds or credits.

  • By enrolling, parents and guardians accept this policy in full.

4. Lesson Structure & Academic Scope

  • Lessons are structured specifically to prepare students for GCSE or A-Level examinations.

  • We do not cover school homework during lessons.

  • Lesson content is planned by tutors to maximise exam readiness, understanding, and long-term academic performance.

5. Student Responsibility & Academic Outcomes

  • While we provide high-quality teaching and structured exam preparation, we do not guarantee grades or academic outcomes.

  • Academic progress depends on:

    • Student effort

    • Independent study outside lessons

    • Consistent attendance

    • Engagement and behaviour

  • It is the student’s responsibility to complete independent work and revision in their own time.

  • MedParent is not responsible for poor performance due to lack of effort outside tuition sessions.

6. Attendance & Punctuality

  • Students must arrive on time for all lessons.

  • If a student is:

    • 1–10 minutes late: The time may be added at the end of the lesson where possible to complete the full 2 hours.

    • More than 10 minutes late: The lesson will continue as scheduled, and the missed time will not be recovered.

  • Chronic lateness may result in further action at the discretion of MedParent.

7. Behaviour & Classroom Conduct

  • Talking during lessons is strictly prohibited, unless directly speaking to a tutor for clarification or learning purposes.

  • Behaviour management policy:

    • 1st offence: Verbal warning

    • 2nd offence: Second warning

    • 3rd offence: Student removed from the class for the remainder of the lesson and a meeting scheduled with the parent/guardian

  • If this behaviour occurs across three separate lessons, the student will be permanently removed from the tuition programme with no refund.

8. Zero Tolerance Policy

MedParent operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Verbal abuse

  • Physical abuse

  • Threatening behaviour

  • Bullying

  • Harm towards tutors, staff, students, or anyone within the building

Any such behaviour will result in:

  • Immediate removal from the session

  • Possible permanent removal from tuition

  • Implementation of safeguarding and disciplinary protocols

  • Escalation to relevant authorities where appropriate

No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

9. Illness & Absence

  • If a student is unwell, the office must be informed at least 24 hours in advance so arrangements can be considered.

  • If illness is reported on the day of the lesson, the lesson will be deducted and no refund will be provided.

  • For families with multiple siblings:

    • Lessons may be shared between siblings where agreed in advance.

10. End of Lesson Responsibility

  • MedParent is not responsible for supervising children once lessons have ended.

  • Parents and guardians must collect their child promptly at the end of the session.

  • Any delays in collection are the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.

11. Withdrawal & Termination

  • Parents may withdraw their child at any time; however:

    • No refunds will be issued

    • Repeated behavioural issues

    • Non-payment

    • Breach of these Terms and Conditions

12. Safeguarding & Welfare

  • MedParent operates under a strict Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

  • All tutors are DBS-checked and trained.

  • Any safeguarding concerns will be handled according to our safeguarding procedures and may involve external agencies.

  • All fees must be paid in full by the start of the month for which tuition is provided.

  • If payment is not received by this date, a £10 late payment fee will be automatically added to the outstanding balance.

  • Continued late payment may result in:

    • Temporary suspension of lessons

    • Permanent removal from the tuition programme

  • No refunds or fee reductions will be provided due to suspension caused by late payment.
